China Southern reached a 15-year TrueChoice™ Flight Hour agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its GE90 fleet, including GE90-110B engines powering its 12 Boeing 777 freighter aircraft and GE90-115B engines powering its 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
"As the launch customer of GE90 engines in China and Asia, China Southern has demonstrated its confidence in GE products, and this TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement serves as a further display of trust for which we are very honored," said Jean Lydon-Rodgers, president and chief executive officer of GE Aviation's Services organization.
Headquartered in Guangzhou, China Southern Airlines operates the largest aircraft fleet in China with more than 700 passenger and cargo aircraft and is also ranked the first in Asia and the 4th in the world (Data: IATA, in terms of fleet size). The airline operates more than 2,000 daily flights to 208 destinations in 40 countries and regions across the world. Through close cooperation with its SkyTeam member airlines, China Southern's network spans 1,062 destinations to 177 countries and regions.
